TOKYO (AFX) - Toshiba Corp said it will launch in Japan in mid-May the world's first laptop personal computer with an HD DVD-ROM drive.
HD DVD is a newly developed high-definition digital video disc standard.
Its new range of laptops, called Qosmio G30/697HS, can read and write to current DVD and CD discs and play back HD DVD content, it said.
