NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) - Apple Computer introduced new desktop management software Tuesday optimized for users of its new Intel-based Macs.
The Apple Remote Desktop 3 offers improvements in software distribution, asset management and remote assistance, the company said in a statement.
"With Apple Remote Desktop 3, we've delivered powerful innovations that make it even easier and more affordable to manage Macs," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
Apple (Research) shares rose about 0.6 percent in premarket trading on the Inet electronic network.
