Prosoft's Data Backup,MAC backup utility

Prosoft Engineering on Tuesday announced Universal Binary support for its latest release of Data Backup, the backup utility for Mac OS X. The free update is available for download from Prosoft’s Web site.

Data Backup makes it possible to backup the contents of your Mac’s hard drive to other devices, including FireWire and USB drives, network drives, CDs and DVDs. You can clone your drive to make a bootable backup, schedule backups to occur on specific days, create lists of file exceptions, manage versioned backups, and backup incrementally. It can also synchronize folders and compress data.

Data Backup’s system requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or later. Data Backup costs $59. A downloadable demo is available.
